The Alaska District of the Assemblies of God has asked Lattis to oversee the Alaska Leadership Development Network.

The Alaska Leadership Development Network Mission and Values Statements

The simple Mission Statement of the Alaska Leadership Development Network Strategy is to Develop and Network Servant-Leaders across Alaska.

This mission statement flows from the Values Statement of the Alaska Leadership Development Network Strategy which reads:

bullet

·          We value Spiritual Leadership which we hold to be the key to successfully evangelizing the lost and making disciples of the found.

bullet

·          We value Servant Leadership—leadership which views serving as more important than being served and understands leadership to be simply a means of serving Christ and His church.

bullet

·          We value Spiritual Development (discipleship) as necessary to Leadership.  Only those who are maturing into the image of Christ are qualified to lead Christ’s church.

bullet

·          We value Networking which places emphasis on team-work which in scripture is understood in terms of community or body ministry.

bullet

·          We value an Empowerment Paradigm in which present leaders empower and release new leaders into meaningful and fruitful ministry as illustrated in Ephesians 4:11-12.

Alaska, the largest state in the Union and one of the most beautiful, is also a state with serious need. There are still over 100 villages in Alaska without an evangelical witness. Many village churches do not have pastors. Alaska is a multi-cultural mission field needing the gospel to be presented in sensitive and culturally acceptable ways.

The goal of the ALDN is to raise up a multitude of homegrown leaders across Alaska who emulate Jesus Christ and have a heart for developing people into the image of God.
