Lattis and Sharlotte spent 10 days in Dillingham with Pastors Debbie and Dave Milligan and the congregation of the future Anchor of Hope church. Lattis taught the Local Church Leadership Development Series and served as a consultant to the board of the church as they reworked their church constitution and by-laws. Sharlotte presented the challenge and need for an active children's ministry.

Dillingham is located approximately 350 air-miles southwest of Anchorage on the confluence of the  Nushagak and Wood Rivers at the top of Bristol Bay. Dillingham is a predominately Native village of 2000 people and is a major air and sea hub for the Bristol Bay area consisting of 33 villages. The regional hospital for the Bristol Bay area is located at Dillingham as well.
